2015 National Conference for the Association for Women in Psychology

The 2015 National Conference for the Association for Women in Psychology was held in San Francisco March 5-8 and the NMSU Counseling Psychology was well-represented. The focus of the conference was on Feminism and Restorative Justice. Chelsea Bridges-Twiss presented a poster entitled “Pretending Orgasm and Sexual Satisfaction in Women” (see image above) and Dawn Bates led a structured discussion, “Prejudice and Discrimination in Graduate School”. Dr. Tracie Hitter presented a paper, “Exploring Positive Sexual Self-Concepts of Women Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse”.
