How to Apply & Prerequisites

We are now accepting pre-screening materials for review and consideration in preparation for Iteration 10, tentatively scheduled to begin August 2019. Applicants are requested to submit the following pre-screening materials for review. Based on this pre-screening review, prospective students will be directed to apply formally to the NMSU Graduate School once the anticipated formal application cycle opens.

 

Program Prerequisites

  • A doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology
  • A current state license as a psychologist
  • Verification of good standing from that state’s Board of Psychology, including three years of licensed professional practice with no ethical violations
  • For the international student, NMSU adheres to the standards of practice and licensure of the host country

Pre-Screening Review Materials

  • Preliminary Questionnaire Form 
  • Copy of Unrestricted License to Practice Psychology
  • Copy of Unofficial Graduate Transcripts
  • Updated Résumé or Curriculum Vita

Instructions for Submitting Pre-Screening Review Materials

    1. Please download and complete the Preliminary Questionnaire Form
    2. Complete and prepare the following documents :
      • Completed Preliminary Questionnaire Form
      • Updated Résumé or Curriculum Vitae
      • Copy of Unofficial Graduate Transcripts (with date doctorate conferred)
      • Copy of Unrestricted License to Practice Psychology
    3. Send all of the pre-screening materials via Fed Ex or USPS. Addresses are provided below:
