AIM Research Lab

The Study for Prevention of Problem Behaviors among Immigrant and Minority Adolescents

Diversity

Welcome to the Study for Prevention of Problem Behaviors among Immigrant and Minority Adolescents, headed by Dr. Heejung Chun, Principal Investigator of the AIM lab at New Mexico State University. This website will provide visitors information about our research team; current and future projects under the purview of this study; the theoretical foundations of the study; and the outcomes of the research.

Our research team conducts empirical research projects that address developmental issues of immigrant and minority adolescents in the context of their ecological environments. By advancing understanding of their experiences in home, school, and community settings, we seek to identify barriers and contributing factors that may affect their development desirably or undesirably. We further target to develop prevention and intervention programs to promote healthy development of immigrant and minority adolescents.
