Sibella Salazar Awarded CEP Research Proposal Award for Academic Year 2017-2018

Sibella Salazar, a Counseling Psychology doctoral student was awarded the CEP department research proposal award for academic year 2017-2018. Her proposed study, 7th generation: Voices of the rezilient, is a phenomenological study that will explore and describe the inner meaning of resilience for 7th generation American Indians. The purposes of this study are to explore how resilience is shaped by relationships within the tribal community and how resilience is perceived and experienced in the face of postcolonial distress. Data will be collected through focus group interviews. Congratulations Sibella!
