Welcome to the New Mexico State University Counseling and Educational Psychology (CEP) Clinic located in O’Donnell Hall, Suite 047. The CEP Clinic is a training site located within the Counseling & Educational Psychology (CEP) Department. The CEP Clinic is open during the Fall and Spring Semesters of the academic school year.
The CEP Clinic provides therapy for adults, families, and couples in the Dona Ana County area. Services are provides by advanced professionals-in-training (PhD, MFT, MA/MS, and EdS students) under the direct supervision of licensed psychologists. The mission of the CEP Clinic is to provide quality mental health services to the community, train future professionals, and further knowledge through research.
The CEP Clinic is also a training site for beginning professionals-in-training. Beginning counselors work with NMSU students enrolled in CEP courses. NMSU students participate in the counseling experience as a part of a course-related extra course related credit to facilitate the experiential education of those in the early stages of their training under the direct supervision of licensed psychologists and professors.

Please Note: If you are a NMSU student taking a CEP course and wish to participate please consult your instructor’s syllabus for the required number of counseling sessions and resulting credit. It is best to begin participating at the beginning or near the beginning of the semester. We cannot guarantee that students will be seen for the required number of sessions past a certain point in the semester. (For example if you need eight sessions to receive full extra credit but there are only four weeks remaining in the term, we will not be able to accommodate that request).
