Dr. Casey McDougall is a licensed psychologist and prescribing psychologist who serves as Professor and Training Director of the Postdoctoral Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology (MSCP) Program at New Mexico State University. The MSCP Program is one of only a select number of APA-designated psychopharmacology training programs in the United States and prepares licensed psychologists for advanced practice in clinical psychopharmacology, integrated healthcare, and prescriptive authority.

Background
Dr. McDougall earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Dakota and his postdoctoral Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology from Alliant International University. He completed internship training through the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center and postdoctoral fellowship training with the Pueblo of Acoma.
His professional experience includes service within Tribal healthcare systems, the Indian Health Service, integrated primary care settings, community behavioral health programs, forensic environments, and rural healthcare systems. He previously served as Behavioral Health Director for the Indian Health Service at Red Lake Hospital and has worked extensively in settings focused on improving access to care for historically underserved populations.
A veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom III, Dr. McDougall remains committed to advancing healthcare access, professional training, and integrated behavioral healthcare for military, veteran, Tribal, rural, and underserved communities.
Under his leadership, the NMSU MSCP Program continues to support psychologists from across the United States who seek advanced competency in clinical psychopharmacology, integrated healthcare, and prescribing psychology. Through his teaching, service, and advocacy, he remains dedicated to advancing the profession while helping psychologists expand their role in improving healthcare access and outcomes nationwide.
